Bolted app for iPhone and iPad

Bolted is a technical app with the purpose to aid engineers in designing bolted connections between steel elements according to the requirements of Eurocode 3.

The graphical editor allows to design a connection between two steel plates by means of a distribution of bolts.

If the connection does not comply with Eurocode 3 specifications, every issues is highlighted: spacing requirements (e.g. bolt to edge distance, bolt to bolt distance) and mechanical requirements (e.g. insufficient bolt class) are checked by the app and highlighted if not appropriate. An automatic solution is also proposed.

In addition Bolted performs Eurocode 3 resistance checks for shear and tension connections, pointing-out each step of the calculation and providing the utilizations factors as defined in Eurocode 3.

We are currently working on many other features that we plan to introduce as soon as possible.
